Ailsa Craig with its ‘hat’ on - the cloud cover on the top. This is very typical of the shape of the cloud which forms - often before rain.

Hence the term; when Ailsa Craig’s got on its hat then you're sure it’s gonna be wat. (Wet in Scottish).

On the right hand side of the picture the rain is already starting to fall as the cloud moves on to the bottom of Arran.
